Pregnancy and Breast Feeding :

You should not take Ezetimibe while nursing infant.

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

General Information :

Ezetimibe is prescribed for high blood cholesterol (also known as Hypercholesterolemia) ,High triglycerides ,High LDL(Bad) cholesterol,Low HDL (Good) cholesterol >> also known as Cholesterol lowering drugs.

Off-Label (Newly Discovered uses) : Unknown.

Precaution : If you are pregnacy ,tell your doctor before start Ezetimibe.

Tell your doctor if you have :

Pregnancy,Allergies ,heart problem ,Muscle pain,liver problems,tenderness or weakness

Driving and Hazardous activities : No problem expected

Infant and children : Not recommend for children under age 10.

Forget a Dose :

Take Ezetimibe as soon as you remember,If it's almost time for your next dose ,wait for that dose .Do not double that dose.

Overdose:

Symtoms none expected.

Side effect and allegic reaction

More common side effects :

Back pain,cough,tiredness ,abdominal pain ,runny nose ,muscle pain ,sore throat

Less common side effects :

rash ,Breathing difficulty,swelling

Rare common side effects :

Non expected.

Cholestyramine (Questran),Gemfibrozil (Lopid) ,Fibric acid,colesevelam (wellchol),Tricor (Fenofibrate),Warfarin (Coumadin),Cyclosporine(Neoral,Sandimmune)
